Sanding belt 50x915 P400 non-woven nylon abrasive fabric 3M Scotch-Brite
Scotch-Brite is a belt of non-woven abrasive nylon material consisting of filaments, abrasives and binder, connected together without the use of weaving techniques. Scotch-Brite grinding belt is designed for finishing and finishing all metals of various tools, especially stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. Provides a smooth surface with a homogeneous texture without removing material and allows you to remove defects after previous processing steps. Tape is practically not subject to stretching. Suitable for both dry and wet sanding. Recommended belt speed for material processing is 15-30 m/s.
The three-dimensional volumetric structure of the nonwoven material provides:
- High material life;
- Uniform machining throughout the tool life cycle;
- High quality even machining of surfaces without changes in geometry.
Soft bulk structure of the material does not allow for high pressure on the abrasive grain and high material removal.
The non-woven material is designed for soft finishing, cleaning and finishing operations without aggressive removal.
Non-woven abrasive belts have a different structure from conventional non-woven belts:
- It has a separate, dense fabric backing to withstand high tensile loads when working on a variety of tools.
- Non-woven cloth tapes have a denser structure of the material itself because the tape is processed at higher speeds and the stress on the tool increases several times.
Due to the higher density of the structure, it provides a significantly higher metal removal than non-woven sheet, but it also provides the highest quality finish.
